Meet the Coaches
Gymnastics Coach = Advisor, Mentor, Leader, Tutor, Trainer, Counsellor, Guide, Instructor, Teacher and friend.

Annie
Acting Head Coach
Level 2 general gymnastics and women’s artistic coach, qualified level 2 gym instructor, Pre-School Qualification & working towards level 3 General and Women’s Artistic.
In 2016, Annie became involved with the club when her daughter Imogen began gymnastics. She initially volunteered for one hour per week.
Within a very short period of time, Annie developed a deep love for the sport. Fast forward and she is currently pursuing her level 3 general and women’s artistic certification and is one of our main coaches.
You will find Annie in the following classes

- Monday 4pm-6pm
- Monday 6pm – 8pm
- Tuesday 6pm – 8pm

Adrian
Coach & Welfare Officer
level 2 Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Coach and Welfare Officer for The Club.
Adrian has been involved with the club for almost 30 years! Soon after his eldest son joined, he was asked to help in class and from there he began his gymnastic coaching career. All of his children were members of the club.
Adrian is a rugby man at heart and has been involved in coaching and refereeing for years “I have seen first-hand how important gymnastics can be for any sport, speed, agility, strength and balance are universal core principles”. Adrian became a Committee member in 1992, he is also one of the club’s trustees.

Jade
Assistant Coach
Level 2 Women’s Artistic gymnastic coach
It is with great pleasure that we announce that Jade has successfully completed her level 2 women’s artistic gymnastics coaching course. Well done Jade! As an ex-gymnast, Jade’s transition into coaching was a natural progression. She is also a regular at the adult gymnastics class where you can see her in action!

Ali
Coach
Level 1 general gymnastics coach
Ali has been part of the club for many years when her eldest daughter Hana was a young gymnast. You can find Ali in our Monday and Tuesday evening classes as well as our pre-school classes. Ali has been helping for many years within our pre-school sessions and is hoping to undertake her pre-school qualification and level 2 General qualification.

Oliver
Assistant Coach
Level 1 general gymnastics coach
A father of three working in and around Kingsbridge, Oliver’s job as a compliance officer has proved valuable in advising the club. Oliver joined the club at the age of four and stayed to complete his Level 1 coach training at the age of 16. Prior to attending university, he was a coach with the club and recently re-joined the coaching team. Oliver coaches the boys classes on Wednesday evenings. Two of his sons are members of the club. Oliver is an avid sportsman, he plays rugby and has completed numerous marathons and half marathons. We are pleased to welcome Oliver back to our team.

Charlotte
Volunteer Coach
Level 2 general gymnastics coach, pre-school qualification.
Charlotte is the club secretary, managing the waiting list, membership, and general administration, which she has done for a couple of years. In late 2022, she expanded her volunteering to coaching, where she developed a passion for teaching gymnastics. Currently, she assists with badge testing across all classes and covering classes when needed. Charlotte completed her level 1 gymnastics certification in 2023 passing with flying colours and the neatest log book British gymnastics had ever seen! She’s also currently studying to become a gymnastics judge.

Dena
Volunteer Coach
Level 1 general gymnastics coach
Dena’s passion for gymnastics comes from her own experience as a gymnast growing up. She was inspired to encourage her daughters to take up the sport, and they have both developed a strong love for it. Now, both of her daughters are part of the squad and are thriving in the leader academy!

Imogen

Imogen started gymnastics at the age of 6 in the hope to burn off her endless amounts of energy. Fast forward 9 years, countless amounts of competitions later, Imogen is still competing with her latest achievement getting to the English Championships! Imogen has almost completed her leadership academy awards and is looking forward to being able to take her level 1 coaching exam when she is able. Imogen currently helps on a Monday evening, where you will find her inspiring the next generation of gymnasts!

Hana

Hana started off her gymnastics journey in pre-school and worked her way up into squad competing at regional level. Hana gave up competing in 2022 but has remained involved with volunteering ever since! You can find Hana in our Friday evening classes.

Freya
Young Leader - Gymnastics helper award
Gymnastics Helper Award
Freya started gymnastics age 5 and was immediately noticed for her gymnastics talent. This led to her working her way into the squad competing at regional level with her recent success as under 13 champion at Zinc level. Although Freya has since retired her competitive journey, she still continues to enjoy gymnastics! Freya volunteers on a Monday & Tuesday evening, helping other gymnasts achieve their goals!

Immi

Immi has been a part of the club for many years and was in development squad, after finishing her gymnastics journey Immi came to us to volunteer as part of her Duke of Edinburgh award. Immi enjoyed her time volunteering so much so that she decided to stay on and is taking her gymnastics helper award later this year. You can find Immi in our Monday and Friday evening classes!

Fleur

Fleur started off as a pre-school gymnast and is still competing today! Fleur became involved volunteering when the club started the leadership academy last year. Fleur hopes to become a coach in the future! You can see Fleur in action on a Monday evening.

Lyla

Lyla started gymnastics at five years old and hasn’t looked back since. She loves Gymnastics and is part of the Kingsbridge Gym Club Squad. Lyla became involved in volunteering when the club launched its leadership academy last year. Lyla has completed her Gymnastics helper award and wants to become a coach! You can see Lyla in action on a Tuesday and Thursday evening.
